Best color scheme for B5 A4?
Hi,
I am in the process of looking for a B5 A4, and I'm thinking of what color to look for, based on what I can do with that color in the future to make the whole car look good. Here are a couple of the color schemes I'm considering:
Note: By 'primary', I mean body color, and by 'secondary' I mean stuff like rims, and just different accents, like lights, etc etc.
Primary: Red
Secondary: Black
If I go with this, I'd plan on putting gunmetal rims, and well as those black projector headlights (maybe even angels) and black taillights. However, I've been searching all over for an example of what this looks like on cardomain, and not ONE red A4 there had an example of this - they all went with the tired red & silver schemes. Which either tells me that everybody has has no sense of taste, or that what I'm planning will turn out to look like ***.
Lights:
Example: none, anybody help?
Primary: Blue
Secondary: Black
Once again, black projector headlights, gunmetal rims, and if I find this hood:
, or I think even just painting the raised middle section of the hood black will look good. I think the rears I'll keep stock, maybe black taillights, as long as they're not too dark.
Example: none again, help?
Primary: Blue
Secondary: Silver
Silver rims, One-piece silver projector headlights, stock rear lights (I hate those euro back lights, they look so tacky)
Example:
Primary: Black
Secondary: Black
Same as with primary blue, only the rims would have a silver lip. Thing about this scheme though, is it can either look clean, or too black.
Example:
except with the dark headlights.
Primary: Black
Secondary: Silver
Same as Blue on silver.
Example:
A couple of notes: Silver primary is absolutely out of the question, yes it can look good, but silver as a colour is far too common. Green and Beige out too as those colors don't suit the A4 imo.
Anyhoo, what do you guys think is the best looking scheme here? I'm pretty torn as it is.
P.S. I realise that this is a really-ricey sounding thread, and I guess as a new poster I don't have much credibility, so for now you'll just have to trust me that I won't rice out an A4 (for example, absolutely no: removing the 4 rings in the grille, huge gay wings (might do a tiny lip or really small spoiler), chrome rims, excessive bodykits) . I'm just trying to make the right choice now so I won't have to repaint in the future.

I have a 2-tone interior. Everything is black except door inserts and seats. They are light beige,
it would look much better if my car was black, however it is the same color as the light beige.
If you can find black with the 2-tone grab it! Somone on here has that color scheme so post pics
cause all mine got deleted! Black B5s are the hottest.
