I have a set of very used EAGLE F1's on my ride and they still grab the road very well.

I would love to get a set of tires that will really grip, like the F1s. Just curious what you guys think the best summer tire is? Also, whats the best winter tire or all season?

the rs4 i drove had F1's on it i believe. those stick lik enothing else.

 

A friend of mine keeps recomending these tire for me but never remember the tire. I think its something like 4008 or 0048 they are barely street legal. Ill ask him what they are today and repost. I think they are Yokohama

 

Yokohama ADVAN A048 are the tire's i was thinking of for summer.

There are lots of great tires out there. Check out www.tirerack.com and you can see lots w/customer reviews. I just got some Kumho Solus HR's all season and they are great so far... VERY quiet and grip better than my old performance summer tires (fusion zri)

 

I might get another set of the F1s, but according to TIRERACK those arent the craziest tires you can get.

 

I did a bit of research on tirerack, other car forums and decided to go with PS2s. They have been on for 2 days, too early to tell much of anything except that they run a bit quiter than the Conti OME that came with the car. Also, I am thinking that is going to be difficult for a fair evaluation since basically I will be comparing 33k mile contis with new ps2s...but I'll try to be objective. So far, so good.
