Just found out my spare tire was stolen from my 2005 A4 Q3.0.... dealership replacement is $600. Seems a lot for a tire I will likely never use... is there a cheaper way? Do I need to get it from Audi?

 

try checkin the almighty ebay, i've seen a few there before

 

i would understand stealing your wheels and leaving u on blocks but who steals a spear tire. You could prob. go to some place like wal mart and buy those cheap *** ones. just gotta make sure they fit, but that would also be a made idea if you are going kinda of far i wouldnt trust those.

Can't be sure... but I've valet parked in NYC garages on numerous occasions so I'm gonna guess one of those times. Naively, didn't know they were so costly and didn't think there were targets for theft... certainly will use valet key and lock trunk going forward!

 

that is pretty hurtin! Prolly target cars like audi's, because they often have alloy spares... with brand new tires. They can just steal them overtime, and pray to accumulate sets of 4! haha

EDIT: you can consider your predicament "stage 1 weight reduction" though.
