Make sure the alternator belt is tight. Ask the place you intend to by the battery
from, to check the charging system.

Loose belt causes the battery to discharge.

If the alternator is bad, have an independent shop change it.

the only thing is with the stereo equipment that i am running, i need a big alternator, and a nice aftermarket alternator, and i dont know where to look for one at, because all of the shops that i called are saying the biggest they have is 140 maybe 160 amps. I need a big one, because of the car audio im running. i need one thats about 200 amps minimum.

2,400 to 2,800 watts. What kind of power does this amp need? Back in vacuum tube days with waisted
heat, this much power wasn't needed.

Its more like Amps, i only had one hooked up. 1000/1 are the number one power draining amps. Im going to be running 2 1000/1 300/2 300/4. So 4 amps that equals 2600 watts. 1 1000/1 drained this alternator like nothing. It will be 2 2 farad caps, crossovers, EQs, 5 monitors, and 2 Yellow Top optimas. with 0 Gauge Wire. its a big hull for a shitty alternator.
