driving up the highway at about 50mph thinking i need to have the timing belt done, when the engine kind of surges and instantlycalls it quits.
no strange metalic noises.
roll to the side of the road for a tow.
engine will not turn over.
timing belt still appears in place.
????
any help is appreciated

 

What engine? Any oil sludge?

 

Did the engine just turn off? or did it lock up?

best i can explian it: lost power, and rolled to a stop.
like if it lost ignition
did not feel like anything locked up.

 

What warning lights were on your dash, and did any of them come on before it cut out? Did you run out of gas? Don't laugh, gas gauges go on these cars.

just put gas in the car an hour before
