biweekly update
Wow I was away for day and just saw this thread. First of all thanks for the compliments!! Second goldenchild is right, I should have it tig welded, but it was stick welded by a pro who guranteed me it would be fine, I didnt have a ride up to NY so I wasnt able to learn to weld it, which I was really bummed about. Also the welding was free, and the first guy who was gonna tig it said it was gonna be $350 which isnt exactly cheap esp because I hate paying other ppl to do work that I would love to do. In the pics you can see some of the welds were ground down, this was to check porosity and penetration, this week I will be grinding the rest down and ceramic coating (diy of course) the whole thing along with the exhaust housing. Anyways I see goldenchilds comment as constructive criticism which I appreciate! If it does crack I'll try again and I'll be at school where I have access to a tig (if I dont get thrown out the shop like last time)
So far before I left yesterday I was able to find the wiring diagram look over them, highlight what I'll need, and wire the zeitronix to the 034, so Now I just hafta wire it into the car. After looking at the wiring daigram I realized I am going to need to keep the stock ecu in as well as the standalone. The stock ecu is connected to things such as the gauge cluster, ebs, air bags, radio etc and these things would get very angry if I took away their brain! so the stock ecu will control those, while the standlone controls all the engine related stuff

Oh and for the sideskirts, I just bought the mouldings only, forget about that $1000 in other crap ppl buy, just buy some silicone, could the door mouldings, only the ones on the front fender, and use a little ingenuity and you can get them on their. It cost me $150 for the skirts, used, and then I spent $250 in paint and painted my bumpers, sideskirts, mouldings, valences, all myself, so for $400 I think the exterior looks pretty decent
by the way since tou are the all knowing mr ritt. im shoping for a fmic. i know yyours is custom but im not talented enough for that... so can you tell me what dimensions to look for in a fmic kit so it will fit behind the stock bumper
well I used the stock mouldings and trimmed them a little bit. The fmic, isnt available as a kit, u will hafta fabricate the plumbing and try and find a core thats around 24x6x2.5
