I was curious if anyone here has baked there head lights, taken them apart and painted the housing black. I know a lot of people that have done it on there Honda's and DSM's, I was just curious about the head light infrastructure on an Audi, since everything seems to be so much more involved on this car... back to the point though, has anyone actually tried it or know anyone that has done it on an audi?... I have a 2001 1.8t by the way, so the lenses are already clear....just with the housing was black...

 

Never heard of it done. They do that on Hondas because they can. The audi headlights are pretty much one solid piece. I have the B6 but I think the B5 lights are the same in that they dont just pop apart. Idk... Worth a try if that floats your boat.

 

it can be taken apart but you will need to reseal it obvisouly. but yea plenty of people have done this.

I'd actually consider doing a DIY but if I screwed up my headlights... I don't have 250+ to shell out. Anyone have any cracked/broken headlights to test out on?

i dont really mind i have xenons now but id send them if you wanted to. I just wouldnt pay for it lol.
