I was driving home in tip mode.. switched into 3rd gear and my car lost power and jerked backwards. My cel light started blinking and my car got shaky. Does this sound like a coil pack? I had them replaced a few years ago. What do you guys think?

 

I think you should get your codes pulled.

However does sound like coil pack

 

+1 ^ or fouled spark plug. Pull the codes.

 

yeh def sounds like a bad coil pack or plug...had the same thing happen to me a couple months back...real pain in the *** for my car because my coil pack is the big one with all 6 coils on one pack...kidna expensive

I didnt have use of a vag com... so I decided to go fail safe and buy 4 coil packs and 4 bkr6e's. After I put them all in it worked perfectly... problem solved hah

 

I wish I could afford to just replace everything when somthing goes wrong -

 

you think thats bad wait until your driving and the timing belt snaps out of no where with low miles, been there done that, new car
