Default blitzsafe ipod adapter trouble

I just installed the blitzsafe audi ipod adapter (http://enfigcarstereo.com/shopsite_s...LINK1_V1B.html) into my Concert I '99 Audi 1.8T, but I'm having some trouble

In the instructions it said:

Disconnect the top harness form the radio (either blue, green and yellow or one solid black connector) and connect it to the red connector on the Blitzsafe interface.
I only saw green and yellow, but I'm sure this is it... the "solid black connector" that I saw did not fit into the red connector on the Blitsafe interface.

So anyway, I connected the green and yellow into this red connector and then did as it said next:

Connect the blue, green and yellow connector on the Blitzsafe interface into the top port in the radio where you removed the OEM connector.
I put everything back up, ran the cable, connected my ipod and all I get on the display is "SAFE"

The instructions say to:

To listen to the iPod, press the "CDC" or "MODE" button until Disc 1 Track 99 appears on the display.
I hit every button, but nothing happens.

I tried putting back the OEM connectors as it was, but it still says "SAFE"

I never d/c the power. I did as I have said, no more, no less.

Do I need a code to unlock it? I don't see why if I do since I never d/c the power.

Anyway, if I do need this code, how do I obtain it? This car has had several owners, but I don't know where the radio card with the code is.

Thanks in advance,

Tim
