Default Blow-off question

I have been looking at upgrading some things on my a4 1.8t and wanted to know if a blow off valve just replaces the stock bypass or if there is more to it than that. I want to get that sound from my turbo... if someone could explain how it all works with that.

If you get a blow off valve you would need a recirculatory kit for it to send the charge back into the intake, otherwise you would want a new dv valve with a cold air intake and higher boost pressure than stock to get that sound.

you cant have it on your car becuase you will run rich. and thats bad for your motor. and besides it will be hard to get a good noise beucase you run such little boost on a small turbo

well the word "whole" referring to that i would get some type of complete intake system as well as hoses as opposed to say dropping in an ITG filter.
