yeah it will prolong the life of your engine, maf, turbo cuz instead of recirculating the intake oil it spits it out. and it spits out hot turbo air. if you stick your hand it front of a bov the air is like 150-160 degrees

LLTek has a Hybrid Blow-Off Valve that re-circulates and makes the whoosh sound. Not really sure how well they perform though.

So let me get this straight, if you are running higher boost say with a GIAC chip it is ok to run a regular BOV? I am very confused right now. Even though you have higher boost wouldn't it still cause the engine to run lean for that second the BOV is making the whoosh sound? Or does the higher boost cause the Valve to close faster and the lean second doesn't affect anything. If you could explain I would appreciate it.

the higher boost pushes the spring faster for a higher pitched sound. and no there is no lean effect. there is a slight rich mixture but its no problem

naw wivestales. never hear anything bad in the supra forums or the rx7 forums or the eclipse forums or the 300zx forums or the wrx forums or the evo forums or the omni forums or the 92-x forums or the gn forums or the turbo mustangs forum. in fact no body makes upgraded DV for any of these cars
Yea right. My wrx friends were skeptical about doing a BOV because of what they read on forums but they still ended up doing it.

AIDIO5 please search before you post questions. With that said, welcome to the forum.

READ THIS: https://www.audiforums.com/m_14128/tm.htm

its not a stupid question. he didnt ask if it was ok or right he asked if there was a kit. and what do you care you got a 12V.

BTW i mean no disrespect jarhead

It may have not been a stupid question, but you give some stupid answers. Grow up David.

AIDIO5, since you havn't bothered to search about ill effects I will tell you. BOV's cause your engine to run rich. This can cause your catalytic converters to become clogged over time, and do damage to your engine. You most certainly run the risk of the dealer voiding your warranty on future engine work also.
