Default blown clutch....

well it happened, my clutch is now blown..but i guess it was its time to go. from my knowledge and clutch with normal driving lasts about 50k miles. well my mom is pissed becuase i have already spent a great deal on this car and i only purchased it in early august. my quote for a new clutch kit from audi is $480, with labour $990. but i am going to try to find one on the internet. so thats why i posted. can any1 give me some info on where i can find a good performance clutch for under $500. this may not be possible but if it can please reply. thanks.

If you want to save money, your best bet is to take it somewhere that doesn't charge you $1000 for labor.

Haha my clutch is also gone bye bye, er has a few weeks left in it. Im going Spec stage 2 with a lightweight spec flywheel or fidanza (sp?)

going to be about 1000$. and then labor about 400 i think..

stealership quoted me 2000$

tell you the truth your better off going stage 2.

Spec is good. I have a spec stg 3 with a 6puck and it's GRIPPY .034efi.com is a Spec dealer. he'll hook you up with the right clutch. goto their site and call him up.
