Silver stars are brighter but they are not white at all.

ORIGINAL: huyaroo

Beat me too it! They do add light to the road over stock... but they are still very yellow! Whiter then regular bulbs... which light up damned near orange! But I put silverstars in my fogs... and my headlights are HID's... and I couldn't stand how the car looked, with yellow fogs.

Now I have... IPF or something... I can't remember. They cost the same as PIAA, but the guy recommended them. They've been great so far, and match the HID's fairly well in colour.

basically, im looking for a blue light. Nothing could provide less light than my stock lights... so that won't be a problem. (I have to use the fogs to see anything at night, the stock lights aren't enough) These lights on ebay are supposed to look like they put out 100 watts even though they only draw 55, so they should be brighter anyway. Plus, they're not expensive. ($45 for 2) and they come with a lifetime warranty. Seems like they out-do the silverstars.

silverstars have the best light output available in a halogen bulb, but they aren't blue at all

Yeah I'd never buy silverstars again. I'd sooner try those eBay ones for sure.

You'd probably get better output if you had projectors
