Default Bluetooth

I have a brand new 2006 A4 Cabriolet. It has bluetooth and I paired my Motorola E815 phone. Everything is great - phone book shows up, can dial off the phone book, hangs up ok - except I cannot access the voice activation feature. When I push the phone button on the steering wheel, nothing happens if the address book is not displayed. If the address book is displayed, then when I push the phone button it dials that number. How do I activate the voice activation feature?

Yikes...

I have no issues other than the phone book doesn't transfer (I don't want it to anyway).

Which button are you pushing? It should be the inside right button for voice.......

Haha, the b7 is killer... I still haven't fallen in love with it's styling... and it is lame that they didn't change the interior over the b6 (well, NAV and a steering wheel change)... but everything else... perfect.

why is it lame? It can't be perfect and lame. Why is the interior on the b6 perfect and essentially the same interior (in appearance anyway) lame on the b7?

You contridict yourself.

EDIT: and I never said I liked the b6 interior... in fact, I am torn on whether I like the b5 or the b6 interior more. I have one of each in my driveway to help with the decision. The b5 FEELS better, nicer shift ****, much nicer steering wheel, and I find the controls are more ergonomic by a long shot. The b6 flows more nicely though, the dash has a nice shape.

When the b7 came out, I was hoping for an interior that I would more readily accept as superior to a design that is almost 7 years old. (my car is a 2000)

Helihiker, check out www.navplus.us to see if anyone has your phone. Should be able to get an answer over there.

AudimanA4, you can retrofit a Parrot kit if you wanted. If you want the oem bluetooth you'll need to install a euro navplus unit or a brand new 06 one. No one has figured out how to retrofit the bluetooth to the 2005.5 units fully yet. They are very close but not there completely.
