Default boost?

i have a 2000 1.8t with 100,000k on it, with a GIAC chip, it ran fine until a while ago, i filled up about 2 weeks ago and i havent done any hard driving on it until last week, and i noticed that when my turbo kicks in at about 3.5k, the car starts shaking, for a bit until about 4k, and then it stops and the car goes fine, the rpm does not drop, and the turbo still pushes good after that, my friend told me that it might be bad gas could that be it?
when i push the gas slow it doesnt happen, but when i put the pedal to the floor it happens?
Thanks for urhelp.

Does your CEL flash? Sounds like a misfire maybe. Get your ecu scanned at autozone and write down the codes if there are any and post em up. If no codes start with replacing your spark plugs.

I had 32 misfires in cly1 duning a cycle in the log (cylce is 90 seconds i beleave) and it didnt throw a code..

I had it all done and came up with some interesting findings.. the shop wants to do it again to make sure the valves where closed, told me to order a valve cover gasket because mine already leaks and they are going to pull the valve cover off.. but they said the compression looked good, the leak-down did not.. after researching it i came across things on audi world The seller knew about the problem b4 he sold it..

Didnt think it could be the route of his problems, but he didnt say how long hes had the chip.. and he said when he goes on it hard it happens.. was thinking he might of killed his DV.. I dont know the symptoms of that but I figured I'd ask him anyway.[&:]
