yes i have a Baylei dv, and the CEL was flashing once when i was driving it right after i put back my stock air filter becouse i thought that the aftermarket air filter might be the prob. but for only like 10 seconds and then it went off.
is there no chance that it could just be bad gas?

 

Its not impossible.

But, if you just get the codes read, you can start to troubleshoot the problem instead of just guessing what it could be.

Could be bad gas, could be a boost leak, could be a dirty/bad MAF, could be a lot of things. get the codes read and you will know.
