Default Boost gauge placement

I've been looking at boost gauges for my 2000 1.8t, and i was really looking forward to a vent mount, but then i had a eureka moment. Has anyone here done, or heard of a boost gauge being mounted in the cup holder? I was thinking that it would be cool if i fitted a boost gauge to the pop out cup holder by the stock deck. this would allow me to keep the stock looks, and when i am driving i can just pop the cup holder open and the gauge pops up. if i were to do this, i would need a boost gauge that is pretty thin, which is what i would need help with finding. Anybody have any opinions on feasability and reccomended gauges?

I was afraid that i might have to go with a digital one... i like the look of the mechanical ones, but i can learn to live with a digital one. I did some measurements and the diameter of the hole is 2 5/8" and the maximum gauge thickness i have to work with is about 5/8". I'm gonna email some companies about the thickness of their gauges. Will update.

Get the vent boost gauge, put it in the vent on the leftside of your steering wheel, no one will see it.

There's no Podi for B5s... yet. I'm holding out for one of those after seeing how much work they put into their product.
