Bose Speakers
OK. I did a search and didn't find what I was looking for. I noticed that my radio manual for my 2001 a4 says that the overall power for the bose system is 210 watts with 4 line outputs which is connec to the bose amplifier which controls the sound adjustment. . I want to be able to replace the speakers and power it with a 4 channel amp. I already have the amp (infinity 7541a 4 chan 111w rms x4) and the component speakers i'm want to get will be the infinty kappa perfects. First off will I be able to power component speakers with a 4 channel with the bose setup? Second what size are our speakers in a 2001 a4. I don't want to get a new HU because I like the way ours look in the car. Any type of info would be appreciated. TIA
www.crutchfield.com will tell you what speaker sizes you can use. I don't know about your car's specifics, but I do know that Kappa Perfects are components, so you'll have 2 Kappas and 4 Kappa Perfects (6 speakers), if I remember right. Have you heard them? I can't find them at any stores around here, but I know they're cheap on ebay.
Just went to crutch field and the kappa perfect 5.1 should work. Here's a link to the components http://www.crutchfield.com/S-CnJmiWL...00&I=108PERF51. It's $400 for the system so i don't know if you ment you can find them cheaper on ebay or what you ment by you can get them cheap on ebay. I can get them for 180 new with my discount. Where would I be able to find that connector? And would I be able to get another amp and add subs? Thanks for info.
yea you can do just about anything with enough money, lol.... but you gotta get the right wiring adapter thing for the deck, then it changes it to like two or three rca out puts, so you can run multiple amps....
This is what crutchfield says. "A speaker adapter bracket is required. It is included free with your speaker purchase." you replace speakers in this location the new speakers will only produce bass. To get full range sound you will need to replace the factory radio with an aftermarket radio AND bypass the factory amp. It says it fits the rear deck. I read on infinties website that it will fit thr front. So now i am confused
You DO NOT have to get a new deck just a wiring harness, but yes i would bypass the factory amp and use a better one and the relocation bracket thing is stupid, it will still sound fine either way, there just trying to sell you more ****
OK so what do I need? I'll buy the kappa perfects 5.1 for the front and power it with my 4 chan amp. How do I bypass the factory amp? Also, where can i get a wiring harness? Thanks for your help. I really like the way the stock HU looks and i dont want to get a new HU.
Try http://www.autotoys.com and to bypass the front since the speakers will be running off the amp you will have to run new speaker wires from the amp(most likely in the trunk or where ever you put it) to the new speakers and just dont hook up the old wires, but make sure to wrap the ends of the old wires so they do not touch and short out the deck and blow **** up.
