hey i just got a 98 1.8t and i was ondering if i should get BOV or not what are the pros and cons?

I don't know if I'd go as far as to call someone retarded over a post, but yes do search before you post, especially because this is the most common question asked on this forum for some reason.

Anyway, you want to get a DV(Diverter Valve) this will re-route the air back into the intake tract allowing the MAF to read the excess air, a BOV will release the air into the atmosphere not allowing the MAF to read the air causing your car to run rich.
