BOV on a NOn Turbo
Wow, sometimes i wonder what this forum has gone to, or how some of you can pop your hood, or let alone change your own oil. I would hate to see some of you guys under a bt hood.
As far as the no bpv/bov. You can def do that. You just need to figure out a way to regulate it,which im sure theres a way. You cant release it anywhere because you will run uber rich.

AH HAHAHAHAHAH, ah HAHAHAHAHAH. Make sure you get a good pair of Muffler bearings and a new knobler valve when you install the BOV on an N/A engine. that thing will add like 50 Hp to that beast.... :-\
Iguess his list of mods shows us what he is really aiming for with his car
RICE RICE BABY!! I WANNA RICE RICE BABY!!

Ow. My brain.
So let me get this straight - you want your car to sound like it's consistantly opening a six-pack everytime you go driving? I think BOVs sound retarded in the first place, but to attempt to put on an a naturally aspirated engine is highly ridiculous and plenty fucked up.
Go play Xbox or something, man. Give your brain a little time to cool down, then come back and read this thread again; after that, I'm sure you'll want to do a frontal lobotomy on yourself with an ice pick.

Wow this thread is gettting harsh... back to my question, it is possible and you dont need anything to regulate boost, the old audi rally cars such as John Buffum's Pike's Peak winner (which I saw a couple weeks ago) had nothing to blow off boost. Those things would run huge amounts of boost and when they left off it would just come out the compressor of the turbo (which is bad for the turbo) they also have all the cooler pipes not only clamped together, but they had metal braces going from one tube to the other...
I had that damn fluttering sounds off throttle for the longest time, and when I took off my bpv the other day to service it before I sold it, i found out that last time i out the cap on, I somehow pinched the spring and it wasnt opening, so once my cars back together that noise should be gone!
