so i went back to stock from having the air box mod today and these are the codes i got when i started her up. The only thing i messed with really under the hood was the MAF. Could that throw all of these codes? I also fiddled with the secondary air pump hose a little and the intake hose to the turbo. any help is appreciated.

These are all things that deal with the airbox. have you reset you codes and these are the one that came back - can you list the full code next time and also where did you get the ones that I couldn't find? they are not in the bentely manual

 

they came off of an OBD II scanner. basically when i reverted back to stock from the box mod i did everything in reverse order. The plug for the MAF is the culprit I believe. its not clicking into place completely. So I eventually got it to engage and then disconnected my negative terminal and let it reset the ecu.

Then i reconnected the batt and drove off. everything seemed fine after I did the TBA. but then when i went to start it the second time the rpm's dipped below 500 and it almost stalled. I didnt have to give it any gas and it started idling fine. not rough or anything. but then about ten seconds later i hear a beep and the CEL comes on and i scan it and it has those 8 or 9 codes.

I guess my questions is could the plug for the maf be causing all of those codes and if the plug needs to be replaced how would I go about doing that without getting the stealer involved?

I guess my next step is disconnect the battery and then the maf plug. let it sit, clean the maf thentry to get the maf plug to engage and then reconnect the battery anddo the TBA.

anyone have a part number for that plug or know where those wires lead to?

 

anyone? please? at least let me know if its ok to drive my car with those codes.

I really dont want to have to bring it to the stealer.

 

how can the bypass valve have a short to ground? it isnt even electrical?

what has happened with this site? I stop coming on for a few weeks and now I have to beg for mechanical advice? I used to get PMs every day when I had a problem now all the threads are about how how much faster our cars are than civics and pics of kids cars after they just washed them?! what is going on?

 

double check make sure no wires are kinked/cracked/twister so forth, double check them and see if they are connected properly.

remove it and clean it see if that helps, maybe some of these codes happened at the same time you did your reverse box mode but have nothin to do with it? btw i beat a 1990 teg last night
