Default Brake disc/rotor & pad recommendations?

Going to replacethe rear discs/rotors and pads on my 03 1.8t q. Not familiar with some of the manufacturers I have seen. Anyone have a good experience with any aftermarket discs and pads?

If you aren't looking to go big, Stoptech stage II are pretty good. Slotted rotors, SS brake lines and pads, front and rear. Also comes with brake fluid. $550ish for kit, a couple of hours to install.

Unless your pushing huge power with your 1.8t then go with that kit or another one like it, yo can search for big brake upgrades, but if your stock or around stock jsut get standard rotors and the red pads, save your self

you dont need slotted rotors unless youre planning on going to the track and doing some racing. plus it would look stupid with slotted in the back and regular in the front. but i was going to say get some brembo rotors and either hawk or prostop pads.

Hey, thanks for the input everyone. Was planning on just stock after market discs w/ ceramic pads. My A4 is not tuned or anything and do not think drilled/slotted would make any difference in the rear. When the fronts are due will probably do drilledor something. Thanks!

hey david, happy i looked at the site today, this past saturday i installed rotors from ebay, and mintex red box pads, holy crap what a diference!!

brake rotors : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Audi-...mZ260115018177

this guy is awesome to deal with, he got mine shipped fast due to cracked front rotors, and

mintex pads : www.Importrp.com

the cheapest site on the web for these pads...

believe me i did my research!! all you need to do now is buy!!

ohh and david, i have a 2003 audi A4 1.8Tq also. and I spent about 300 buck on the whole thing, and installed it all myself in about 3 hours due to painting the calipers!! and the ebay link i gave you is for front and rear rotors, i will get picks of the finished product in about a day, cause i dont have my digital camera right this moment if you wanna wait to see pics.

That is a good price! I already went on getcoolparts.com and ordered standard rear rotors with ceramic pads. Front rotors do not need replacing yet. Will probably do some drilled in the fronts though. Def post some pics if you get a chance! I have the same rims and am curious to what the drilled w/ painted calipers look like.
