I am changing my rear breaks b/c they are pretty much non existant and squeal like I have replaced them with parkeets. I cant get the rear caliper in to fit the new pads any suggestions. I did a search and it said spin clockiwse and apply a lot of pressure but ws wondering if you guys had any other info. I would like to get this done b4 is dark. Thanks

You could rent the tool from an auto parts store.

you just gotta get them to spin and go in it might take some work but thats how its gotta be done

Everyon said you have to push HARD. Exactly how hard is HARD? And about how long did it take you guys?

umm on my 90 200tq it too alot of effort, never had to do it on the A4 but its the same exact way you gotta do it

There is a special tool that will make life much easier for you. I have heard you can get them for like 20 bucks. Try an import shop. It rotates the cylinder while pushing it down.

You can get a cube at most auto parts stores for $10, but I would get the master kit from harbor freight for $20.

use the tool it makes the job a million times easier. it rotates and compresses at the same time.
