Default Brake light...

Hi there,

I have an A4 1.8T 2003 and this morning when I was turning right my brake light went on and it beeped 3 times and then the light went off and never went on again. Btw, the brake light that went on is the same one that goes on when you pull your hand brake, the red light saying 'BRAKE'. Anyone has an idea what is causing this? If I need to replace brakes or it needs some brake fluid or something third? Thanks...

U check your brakes to see if they are worn?

Well, I wish I could tell if they are worn or not...Im not really an expert...I did look though and they don't look bad to me at all but then again I'm not sure how I can tell for sure if they are worn or not. Also, from time to time one of the lights, the orange one with a triangle inside a circle and an exclamation mark inside a triangle, would go on and i wouldnt be able to turn it off unless i shut off the engine and start it again. Its the same light that gets turned on when u press that EPC switch. ABS light never went on though.

I'll add some brake fluid this afternoon...thanks...Now, from what I understand, that yellow light with the circular arrow, triangle inside of it and an exclamation mark inside the triangle is both EPC and ABS light, correct? Then where is that (O) light that supposedly tells you when your brake pads have been worn out? Or maybe I dont have that? Thanks
