brake light

Default brake light

After about five minutes of driving my car the brake light and the ABS light stays lit up. but there is nothing wrong with the ABS because i tested it. does anyone know what can be the problem?

And how did you test it?

Have you vagged the car?

Could be a dirty abs sensor or a bad abs module.

i tested the ABS by braking hard and i can feel the abs kicking in, so i knew there was nothing wrong with it. and i havent had vagged.

Well you are going to have to see what the code is to fix the problem. Just because it is working doesn't mean everything is ok.

I hate to ask the obvious, but have you checked your brake fluid level?

yea i checked the brake fluid and it is at the max level.

Only VAG-Com will tell you what is going on.
I broke left ABS sensor. And my car was stopping fine as well.

my axle popped off because of a bad cv joint, and it damaged my abs sensor. are these sensors easy to replace? has anyone had to do this?
