Brake ligths on by itself?

Brake lights on by them self?
Help!
I just got a beautiful 2005 A4 Quatro about a month ago with 38000 miles on it.
Last night I parked it out in my driveway. I always park it in the garage.
It was raining all night. When I came out in the early morning my brake lights were on!
Red brake lights on, both sides. Huh?
I also own a 98 A6. This has never happened to my A6.
Puzzled!
