Default Brake noise

I jus recently replaced my brakes in 03 audi just got it from the dealer 2 weeks ago. Everytime I come to a stop at a red light, or press the brakes, i hear a whistling winding noise from the brakes. Keep in mind they are new, the dealer said that this happens when they are new, I have a feeling they are giving me the runaround, but they did say if it continues until monday that i should bring it in to get it looked at. So can this be true brand news brakes, making noise when i come to a stop or can it be something else. It is only when i press the brakes lightly and about to come to a complete stop this noise comes. It is a very annoying noise, just think of whena bus uses its brakes.

How many miles have you put on the brakes since they were done?

it might be ur bearings that are making the noise.

If you have 200 miles on them, and they are still making noise, I would take the car back and have them inspect it. Sounds like a problem with the install, or another component going bad. Either wayI would get it checked out. They should be able to find out what is wrong.

I wouldn't ecpect any noise/seating issues after the first 20 miles of city driving. Obviously 20 highmay miles is a different story, because you are not using your brakes very much. Still, it shouldn't take long for the components to wear in.

If it does it when you back up as well its the rear brakes. I betthey bent the anti-rattling clip when they installedthem and one of the pads are loose. I did the same thing a long time ago and i couldn't find what was wrong with it until i took the pads off and saw that the little elbow clip was bent to s***!
