Brake Sensor
OK, maybe this was dumb, but I replaced the brake pads on my wife's '01 A4 (1.8TQ) with regular old Auto Zone specials. I didn't KNOW until I took the old ones off that the OEM ones had those funky little sensors to tell you when you need new pads (which incidently, didn't work: those pads were GONE, and we hadn't heard a PEEP from the sensors).
Anyway: new pads on, brakes work great . . . but NOW, I have this annoying sensor light on the dash telling me my brakes need attention! Question: Is there a way to turn this off, short of buying some OEM pads and do ANOTHER replacement? |
RE: Brake Sensor
You are goign to have to take the two wires and jumper them together somehow.

RE: Brake Sensor
You might be low on brake fluid.
