Default Brake Sensor

OK, maybe this was dumb, but I replaced the brake pads on my wife's '01 A4 (1.8TQ) with regular old Auto Zone specials. I didn't KNOW until I took the old ones off that the OEM ones had those funky little sensors to tell you when you need new pads (which incidently, didn't work: those pads were GONE, and we hadn't heard a PEEP from the sensors).

Anyway: new pads on, brakes work great . . . but NOW, I have this annoying sensor light on the dash telling me my brakes need attention!

Question: Is there a way to turn this off, short of buying some OEM pads and do ANOTHER replacement?

You are goign to have to take the two wires and jumper them together somehow.

You might be low on brake fluid.
