i looked @ the tech article on Audiworld and its confusing as hell

im looking to buy new parts from wholesellers instead of ripping them off an a8
so im wondering what i need to purchase and how the install goes

im interested too, can u put cross drilled slotted rotors?

i either wanna do this A8 deal or a stock 3.0 upgrade.. whats the difference in rotors and what not?

we need to figure out a decently priced rear brake upgrade that still has the ebrake!

 

Papachristou i say the B6/B7 S4 brakes would be better for you
if u want the B5 S4s would be good also and are cheaper

 

B5 s4 upgrade is the most cost efficient way to go, and they are pretty good.

 

B5 S4 brakes bolt directly onto B5 A4???

 

no they do not
B5 S4 brakes do not fit on b5 A4s, and im not kidding
they do fit on B6s

 

But the B7 S4 brakes are the sames as the B7 A4 brakes?
Was it you that pointed that out to me?

 

the calipers are the same but the carriers and rotor sizes are different
the B7 A4 front rotors are 320mm and the S4 front rotors are 345mm

 

Noticeable difference?
Worth the upgrade?

 

Just curious, if your upgrading why not buy a BBK made for your specific model. than theres no fitment issues. Unless u can get the A8/s4 what ever u decide really cheap.
