Default Brake warning light when accelerating

i've noticed lately that the brake warning light in the dash, the red one that says BRAKE comes on and blinks when i accelerate fast and let the revs go up a little further before i shift. like i'll be at a light and take off and after i hit like 6000rpm and shift it comes on. \
anybody know whats going on? is it a safety feature maybe?
thanks in advance

my friend had this before on his car and turned out the parking break was loose (in the back) and would move around when he accelerated causing the light to come on

top off your brake fluid and see if it goes away. it should.

either a fluid problem or the ABS sensor is coming loose when the car is jolting forward from the shift, this is what happened to me.
