Alcon>Brembo>Stoptech>>>>>&gt ;>>>>>>>>>>>>& gt;>>>>>>>>>>>&gt ;>>>>>>>>>>>>& gt;>>>>ECS>Stock
That's the general opinion from researching all forums across the web concerning our cars.
While ECS's back upgrade isn't bad because rears aren't that big a deal, their fronts have had carrier issues with cracking and their calipers aren't geared for our cars. Whereas the "Top 3" make their pistons the right size for the application and won't make bias incorrect. ECS has loads of info on their site making it look like they know what they are doing, but when it comes down to it, they are brakes intended for another car slapped on an Audi to look good.
My choice is Stoptech 355mm, but they didn't fit under my track wheels so I sold them. I now have Stoptech 332mm and love them. Have driven ECS stage 2 and stage 3 brake equipped cars and the difference is big.
Have not driven an Alcon equipped car, but those who have driven both say Alcon has better pedal feel than Stoptech. Whether that is worth the extra big bucks, remains to be seen. The right pads help in that, and I must say didn't like the stock pads that came with Stoptechs.
