Breaking in brakes

Default Breaking in brakes

I know there is some procedure to break in the brakes.. Sanding the rotor a little first or something???? After i do my brakes there are a series of stop and goes that you should do??? Im i wrong??

Just run it up to 120 or so and break it to a sreaching down, just enough to seat the pads.

OK but i was thinking more like 140mph, turn the wheel all the way to the right, pump the brakes, then do a front wheel burn out with the ebrake on.. Yeah... Just to seat them in nicely...

Well i cant wait for the restored performance... Ive been dealing with these jagged rusty rear rotors and what looks like no pad left... I can feel the way the car slows down like all the braking power is in the front.

Read the box for the pads there should be instructions... each pad is designed for different heat and load indexes. It will tell you what to do
