well i was driving down the rosd today and my throttle cable snapped...

luckly not wrecking, and glad i had AAA for a tow.

besides the dealer...where can i get a cable ASAP?

is it normal for these to snap?

 

Those are many steel bands woven together... so what did you do to them?

Thatpretty much never happens. Never heard of it at all, actually. The only thing I can think of is something very corossive like engine degreaser got on it and wasnt rinsed. Even that is a stretch. I can get it from the dealer for you, but it honestly wouldnt turn out to be a great deal, ya know, just because of all the emotional stress youve put me andeveryone elsethrough for the duration of your previous membership here [8D] Id have to tack on an extra $50 just for that [:'(]

that is a strech. Could of been moved and started to rub against something until it frayed and then finally snapped (like some of us in these threads)

 

thats what happened...i found out the cable was bent to where it rubbed..

and i got my speedtuning ecu back...its veryyy nice.... too bad i have no throttle.

but the dealer said $60...

anyone think of anywhere cheaper?

 

That actually doesnt sound to bad. onepoint8tee is in Columbus, so if you kiss his hiny he may help you out. Would take all of next day to ship. You can also call autozone/nation and see what they can do.
