My transmission has broked, I don't know why, because my audi is absolutely stock, but now I need to change this part. So here is a question, which one to select for my engine. I've heard some opinions that a 6 speed transmission from a diesel engine will be more reliable. What do you think about it?

btw I have a 2001 audi a4 1.8T quattro

 

Just because you are all stock, doesnt mean that your parts are invinceable. It would also help if you tell us if its an automatic or manual...

You've gotten very unlucky. Do you punch it at green lights? My transmission went at 140k in my old 90' 100.

 

What makes you think your transmission is "broked"?

I'd be surprised as they are pretty resilient unless abused, especially on a 2001.

 

if you want an up graded tranny i think the only one you can directly swap in is the 2.8 one

 

I understand this, but it was very surprising to me that my transmission broked after 1 month.

Manual transmission

First I have very loud knocks from the transmission. When I get to the station I have lost all the oil from it.

 

Prob hit something or a seal went and no oil would kill any Transmission.
