Default BT questions

I was wondering what are you looking at cost wise to upgrade
to a big turbo and all associated mods?

Whats the next size/ kit size up from a Ko4??

HOw much modding is necessary to get a bigger turbo in, like
would stock cat work?? or are there different bolt patterns?

I could guess from 1000-1500 for the turbo and 500-1000 for
software, what else??

(1.8t)

unless you go with an elim series turbo...you will also need a new manifold and a new intake setup....and jackstands bc your car will break down a lot more....

because any time you put added performance to your car you increase the wear on all parts...more so then the normal wear...and when you add that much more power(going from 150-300+) your almost indeffinatly going to break more stuff.. not to mention the added boost of that turbo

I understand, it just seemed like it were little things since he said
jack stands. Usually failure as a result of over boosting is detrimental
and requires a lift rather then jackstands.

Well, anything that can be done on a lift can be done on jackstands too.....
