Is there anything bad about buying this? I found it on a s4 taht is for $16,800 and it has a lien and lease record. i think the guy just couldnt afford the car anymore. Its a great deal.

 

I'm unclear. Who is selling the vehicle? It "had" a lien or it presently has a lien?

 

it had one at 52, something as far as teh car fax thing that was snet to me. Its now at a dealer. I think it has been purchased sense that and i will be the 3rd owner if i get it.

i was but it just died in the water. My dad said that he will in no way be helping me finance or pay for the car other than signing papers so i can get it. So i think it will have to be a 1.8T.

 

While the title plant is interesting to look it, it is irrelevant provided that the dealer has free-and-clear title.

 

A lein just means that the car hasn't been paid in full and there is a loan against it. Its nothing bad, just normal procedure.

If carfax is clean than its okay.


If it is through audi financing you can take over payments but you would have to be added on there with him, and then once your on there remove the seller from the title. Its a hassle. Go to a bank its easier.

 

its not at an audi dealership it just a normal used car lot.

 

a lien means there is a loan against the car (the car is collateral), if the dealer has it, ANY dealer, there will no longer be a lein.
