Default Buying a 2008 A4 2.0T multitronic

Hello guys...I am new to this forum, so hello to everyone

I am about to buy a new '08Audi A4 2.0T multitronic w/ Premium package. I test drove the car this past weekend and I really like the car.The handlingis really good very smooth. The exterior looks very nice with the S-Line and the shift paddlesare fun!

I guess you guys are familiar with the A4s so Iam just basically looking for some feedbacks. Is this car really good? whatare the most common problem with this car in the long run?are there a lot ofmods (for exterior, interior, engine, etc.)out there for this car? and so on...[&:]

Thank guys

If you got the money to spend, yeah go for it. Personally I would never buy a car newer than 3 years! You practically throw away a lot of money that you could have put into mods!

The most common problem are the kids that tell you to buy a manual without even knowing you. LOL

The 2.0 is very mod-able. The multitronic has its limits, so go to a manual gearbox if you are looking for monster HP - otherwise the automatic can handle a chip and exhaust no problem and be quite enjoyable.

Audis take some amount of maintenance - not the kind of "I'll wait til it breaks" maintenance either. You need to look after them a lot more than you would a japanese import.

I'm looking at the '08 2.0T Quattro with Manual trans. Audi have a great lease deal going right now for '08 2.0T Quattrowith Tiptronic(ends Oct. 1st). You are not constrained to the config shown in the ad on their website, you can change to suit your preferences.

Thanks brrman...thats the reply I was looking for. I am definitily sticking to the multitronic, not looking for A LOT of HP but at least add another 50 or so.

As far as the maintenance goes, the dealer is offering me the Audi Care program. Will I be OK with that?

Definitely go with a Quatto car, there is no reason to get a FWD model if you do not have to (the price differential isn't much). I just bought a 2007 2.0T Quattro (manual) and love it. No real complaints except that I would have liked to get the free S-line body upgrades of the 2008.

Go for it... but get quattro.

I think I am going to wait for the B8. Its only what? 10 months away...I will save a lil more money so I can get the quattro and the B8 with [8D]
