Try taking it to a mechanic you trust, pref one who deals with euro cars. They will be able to highlight any main issues that need to be dealt with. It may cost you some $ to get the checkup done, but its money well spent if they find major issues that the seller is hiding from you.
I am buying it from a audi dealer and it will come with that 100,000 mile warrenty.

ah, if its a certfied pre-owned the mechanic is less of an issue. I would skip the mechanic in that case since if they missed something in the certification process, it *should* be covered under warranty.
