Default Buying an A4 Quattro...Issues??

Hello All,

I am looking at purchasing a 2003 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T. It has 61K miles on it. I am purchasing from a local Infiniti Dealer. What should I be on the look out for?

I may have jumped the gun b/c I already bought a new remote with a blank key from ebay. Is it possible to just replace the components without having to program the remote and get a key cut? The reason I bought it is b/c the one that comes with the car looks old and is faded.

I am also going to paint my calipers this weekend. Car is silver, painting calipers red and placing white Audi logo stickers on calipers once painted. Any tips would be appreciated.

Make sure you look into getting your timing belt change before 70-80k miles. As far as the key goes, all you can do is try. I've never seen anyone try to swap them like that. Welcome to the forums by the way!

Well, I just got my first dose of Audi reality today. I sent the car in for the timing belt change, I bought the parts off of (shoutout alert) ECS tuning for like $280 shipped and the labor was $430, no big deal. I got a call from the shop this morning with quite a list of things in need of repair - including new clutch which I saw coming anyway. total tally is going to be in the $2K range. c'est la vie.
