hey im getting my lowers painted and wanna see how ur rides look like with or with our painted lowers im always seeing posts and pics of B5's....so i wanna see every1's B6's

I am still amazed that Audi didnt paint them at the factory.. i mean seriously.. WTF?

 

I was suppose to drop my car off Friday to get my lowers painted on my B6, but of course I BS'ed around for the 2nd time. So I had to reschedule for another time. As onepoint8tee stated, try the search. I was able to fine a lot of B6 owners that posted pics of their car before and after. If you get yours done before I do please post pics.

My thoughts exactly. Thats just one of the few things that I don't understand. They aren't really functional to begin with and they ditract from the overall look, someone should of kicked some sense in Audi's chief design engineer, whoever he/she is.

 

++++++++++++++++2 Thats one of the big turn offs to me about getting the B6 is that it lookes like crap without those painted.

 

that's a few hundred bux to get the lowers painted, and if that's all that is deterring you from getting a B6, sux for you, there are a bunch a cool little features that the b6 offers over the b5 and i'm sure it's the same way for the b7 to the b6, every car has their pro's and cons.... I like how the b6 is a bigger car than the b5, i almost got a b5 but realized that they are too small

 

Yeah well in a year or so I think a few hundred dollars on top of a car and house payment will be managable but right now, I'm not really in the possition to get a new car in the first place. I will probably go for the B7 anyways. but I just don't understand, what they were thinking when they decided not to paint those.

 

They were thinking, "this part of the car get impaled by rocks, ice, salt, dirt, and road derbris at speeds upto 80 miles an hour, lets leave it unfinished." When your unders are painted they get as nicked up as your front bumper, considering the average person doesn't give a hoot, they leave it. The dealer will paint them for you anyways. And I do belive the 05s came with painted unders.
