Default camber

i know when i was about to lower my honda i had to think about getting a camber kit. Do audis have alot of trouble with negative camber after being lowered. I was about to lower my honda with neuspeed races (2.0drop) before i got t-boned...and that led to my audi!

Yeah there are some issues with camber and tire wear. If you car is not in perfect aligntment when you lower your car you will get horrible tire wear on the inside because of the negative camber.

I just had to replace my 235 tires after 15K miles because of this. Made sure I got my car aligned last week too. It was way off spec.

I believe there is a camber kit you can get for the A4, but is pricey. Go to Audizine and ask Daft about it. He knows a lot about the camber on the A4.

the stock sport package (if you have it) has enough camber adjustment to deal with the lower ride height. you must however (as brrman suggests) get an alignment if you lower the car. otherwise you will definitely eat tires. it also depends how low you go. i can still drop another 10mm but ... 1) i can barely get a floor jack under it as it is; and 2) my mechanic who did the alignment said he had very little camber adjustment left.

I think about 2" between the springs and grooved shocks which are set at the second to lowest setting. It's hard to tell for sure because I didn't measure and I had stock sport suspension so the advertised "drop" didn't apply since stock it was already lower than a regular A4. I could drop it another 10mm (~3/8") but in reality i really can't because I literally wouldn't be able to get a floor jack under it. Right now it has about 3" ground clearance which is just enough to get over speed bumbs without rippin' out the splash shield.

BTW ... I HIGHLY recommend upgraded rear sway bar. I just put mine in and it balances the handling beautifully. I have it set on it's "loosest" setting and it feels pretty neutral, although it's raining so I'm going to wait to make any adjustments. If I crank it down tighter she'll have a bit of oversteer. YEE-HAA.

Here's another pic for ya. Hope it helps.
