im trying to get a new battery for my keyless entry..but dont want to pay the high price at the dealership because i have a new switchblade and remote coming..

but the guy at Radio Shack said i needed to know the correct battery voltage before trying just any battery..

my remote didnt have a battery in it when i got it, so i have to reference

I believe the keyless remote uses two 3v pancake batteries (placed on top of each other).
Radio shack has them.

But yes they are 3v pancake batteries, you need 2 of them.

Yes its a 3V battery. The battery type is CR1620. If that helps. Were you able to find one at Radio Shack?

 

I got mine at radio shack, so u know the should have the right one there.

 

I know this may be a stupid question, however, I am having the same issues with my remote. Will changing the batteries in the remote require a reprogramming ?
