Can i change my idle speed?

Wow it's been a while since i've been on here

98.5' A4 2.8l 30v. Just wondering if i can raise my idle to around 1k. does it require any special tools or how hard is it ?

I'm not sure if it would work with your car and I haven't had a chance to try it myself but the program that you can download using the link allows you to make some modifications using a Ross-Tech Vag-Com cable. !!!try at your own risks!!!

no, that wont work for him. he is dbc where as this unitronic software and the revo software like this only works for dbw cars; I.E. 2000 model years and up

Why would you want to do that anyways? If your car is not idling properly there's something wrong and masking it by upping the idle speed doesn't make the problem go away.

if your dbc you should just have to adjust the cable so that the valve stays open a little more. If your car uses an IAC(Idle air control valve) you'ss need to adjust it through the computer
