can i get a air intake with an automatic with out tiptronic? will it do much?

Depends, but probably not. if you have the 1.8t then no, minimal gains. If you have a 2.8, maybe a little. The audi air box is actually pretty nicely designed. Unless you are doing a ram air setup, its probably not worth it. If you just want to be able to hear the whooshing sound then go for it.
