Default Can Two Side Mounts = 1 FMIC?

Hey I'm new to the whole Audi scene but I have been around turbo hondas for quite a while...So I understand the whole concept of a fmic. I currently have a 99.5 audi a4 1.8t and I'm looking into doing the pc-16 chip with the ko4 turbo upgrade and I understand that it is highly recommended to get a fmic...I was wondering if I bought another side mount and installed it on the right side of the car like an s4 if that would work the same as one fmic?

no because u wont get as much air as you would with a fmic and that also would be some crazy piping

I considered the whole not getting as much air...I was just trying to debate if the whole fmic was really necissary with the upgrade...I understand putting the bigger turbo on would mean that you would need a way to cool the air...I just thought by adding another intercooler you would be doubling the original intercooler size and I thought that if s4s could run two and be safe that an a4 would...but I'm open to all comments

the two lil SMICs will cover the same area as a regualr FMIC
and the piping isnt that crazy though

^^^Very true
There are a few people i have seen on AW and AZ that have done the DSMIC and have logged the intake temps through the VAG and was very consisitant may have jumped 1 degree in Intake and coolant temp. The thing is look at the passanger side and try to find a space to put the other SMIC. IT is hard to do on the B6 and the B5 1.8t would be a little harder to do.
