Can u fit a S4 motor into a 99 a4 1.8T?
Hell man, replace my 12v POS (but reliable) engine with an S4 engine... you KNOW I've been thinking about it but honestly, the cost is way too high (time & money). Plus if you try to sell it you'll have issues as it won't be a true S4.
lol even then its really not, I could do it myself no problem but the cost of all the stupid **** you would have to get would be insane.... Now if you could get all parts and labor for free that might be a deal

I could care less about leather interior, suspension, sides, bumpers.
If I had money to sh*t out Id do it. I mean how man people keep stock SUSPENSION? EXTERIOR? SEATS?
Not alot.
By summer I wanna run a whole new suspension, seats and exterior.

ummmm sorta but no. lol a 99 with no motor is probably gunna go for more than 3 and an S4 is way less than 20k man you can pick them up left and right from 13-15 in the right places.... and that 5-7k quote seems a little low and its gunna take a **** ton of work to make everything right, and in the end you still have an A4 with a S4 motor not an S4, an S4 has different suspension, different body( bumpers, sides ) leather interior.... cuz if you just throw a 2.7t in there without doing all the other stuff its gunna be ****, the suspension will be WAY screwed with the weight differences, not to mention all the other parts our gunna end up buying... its simply not worth it..

SEE NOW THATS NOT BAD!.... a 99 audi with a blown engine u'd be lucky to get $3,000 for it.. and if ur looking at an S4 you gotta look at almost $20,000 if ur lookin at a nice one. Thats $17,000!! or you could just spend $5,000 get the new engine put in, love your car till ur done with it and sell it for $12,000 as an A4 with an S4 engine! then get ur newer S4 and only have to spend $8k.... thats just how I look at it. But again this is only worth it in my opinion if you have a blown engine

you would have to replace the supention in the car if you changed motors. the diff. in the weights of the motors is a factor. a v6 is alot heavyier than a slant 4. so if you left stock suspen. you would dip badly in the front which would kill your handleing and look rediculous. plue you wont just change the motor tou'll probably end up moving everything in the engine bay from ac lines to steering components. overall its not worth it. besides you wouldnt have the s4 interior
What if you built a 1.8t pistons rods ect and throw on a big turbo tunedit at 25 psi and made about 350 to 400 whp with less weight so you could stomp an S4 even with mods. For around 5k and a lot less work.
Yes you would need new springs. You would also need the ecu, wiring harness, the intercooler setup, exhaust manifolds, turbos, cats or test pipes exhaust and most likely the fuel pump assuming the motor doesn't come with any of that. You may need an alt. power steering pump, andac condensor if yours don't fit. Then for the install you would need motor mounts, coolant hoses and throttle linkage to hook it up. Plan on upgrading first before install? No way could it be done for $7000 without a rearended S4 and even then I doubt it unless you catch all of the coolant and other fluids to reuse them..
