Can you repair a broken electrical connector???
Hey,
I went to replace a faulty oil temp sensor but removed the oil pressure switch by mistake. After searching for the part number I noticed my error and wasn't too bothered until I noticed the wire going into the back of the connector has broken off completely.
Now I am worried as I've heard horror stories about having problems with this switch and the last thing I want to do is run the car without it.
Is there any way to repair the connector. I could just stick the bare wire back into the connector but that seems like a really bad idea.
Please help...

Okay,
Not as bad as I thought it might be. I managed to disassemble the connector and can see that some bits cannot be reused. Darn, back to the dealer for some more parts. At least these should only cost peanuts.
No car for the weekend so. ****.
