This can be used too: http://www.caraudioplus.co.uk

You must have this adapters in the US too.

Generally Audio places will advise against this, as the Bose system generally runs 2 ohm load, including the speakers. The speakers are set to handle 2 ohm, and most after market head units push 4 ohms, causing your speakers to whine even with an adapter usually. Sucks, but generally if you're going to replace your head unit, you have to just uninstall the whole bose system, (speakers, amp powering the rear dash 'subs' and all). In my opinion, the bose system sounds good especially to save you the $1400 or so to do the whole deal. Trust me, i did it in mine, and though it sounds great now, i think i'd pass next time to save the $1600 i'm out now. (Eclipse head unit, MB Quart fronts, Eclipse rears, JL 12's in trunk, RF Amps).
If you're not happy with how loud it gets, try amping your front speakers, but if its the crisp bose sound you don't like, then yeah, swap the whole dang thing. Let me konw if you got more q's, as i researched this a bit when deciding to do mine. Word.

i want to avoid replacing the bose system, as i am broke and dont have money to replace them... i just got a new head unit for my b-day, and wanna put that in..... are all bose speakers 2 ohms? is there anyway to hook it up so the bose will work?
the front bose speakers are 4 ohms, the rear speakers are 2 ohms. The surround piece is goign to have to be custom, as there aren't any adapters for the b6. I could be wrong though.
If you have the Bose system installed in your car, you definite have an amplifier in the trunk. To install an aftermarked head unit, you should'nt use the head units loudspeaker output but the RCA pre-out's and connect them to the bose amplifier...
I can't se how the impedanz of the loudspeakers would influence on this ??
