Hello all, this is my first time here. Need help. I test drove both 2005 A4 1.8T and 3.0 this week. I'm going to purchase 1 for sure next Tuesday, but
I can't decide which one to get. Im kinda going toward 3.0 cuz it got more pwr, but It seem like every1 are going with 1.8T. I don't think I'm gonna
do too many mods thats why im going toward the 3.0, if 3.0 would have some mods I would definately get it.... please help me decide.
btw... I'm getting all the sport options.

 

by the sounds of it, you're gonna be better off with a 3.0. Great engine, and if you're just wanting some minor mods (intake, exhaust, possibly chip) definatly go with the 3.0. You'll be putting out more power than the 1.8T, and have a more reliable car .

 

Get a 1.8T and spend the 400 bucks to have it chipped. Bingo, more power...(search the forum for warranty issues about chipping and you'll find a great solution). Personally though, I would REALLY wait just a little bit longer and nab yourself one of those killer 2.0T FSI A4's when they come hot off the presses!
